This shoot for OpenRoad Auto Group happened on a typical November day in Vancouver. Rain. Lots of rain.
The event was the Audi Driving Experience, where drivers could learn how to do controlled stops, slaloms, hard-brake and avoid, turns, and get a hot ride in the Audi R8 super car with a professional driver!
Since the day was literally a wash, a cinematic style was used for the first minute of the video to make use of the rainy images.
This video was shot for the OpenRoad Auto Group. They took customers out to the BC Driving Centre and give them a driving clinic teaching handling techniques, performance driving techniques, safety techniques, and some fun!

An eight foot crane was used to show the height and space of the venue and action. A glidecam was also used to add some motion to the entire video.
Although there were hours of footage from the event, a quick one minute video was the perfect length for sharing on social media such as Facebook and YouTube.

The Audi A7 launch was being held at OpenRoad Audi in Vancouver and Small Biz Doer Videos was there to capture the event.
A slider was used to get that sense of motion in a lot of scenes.
Sarah Hayward created a theater show called “Stripes: The Mystery Circus”. She wanted to capture the live event performance for use to promote the show.
One challenge was audio, since the performance required many costume changes and a on-person microphone would not work. Several off stage microphones were set up to capture the best audio possible in this live theater event.
For Sarah to choose the shots she wanted, she received a link to an online video where she could see her entire performance. She then submitted the different segments she wanted and the short highlight video was created and sent back to her digitally.
Problem: The client needed an event video to highlight one of the scenic places their summer vacation ESL (English as a Second Language) school visits. There is also a need to give even coverage to all students.
Solution: Get some nice beauty shots of the water falls, streams, and nature in general. Make sure to get group shots to make sure that every student appears in the video several times.
